STATIC AND DYNAMIC PASS BOX

A pass box is one of the cleanroom systems, which is used to transfer materials from one side to the other side through the controlled environment to avoid airborne cross-contamination. As the name states itself, the primary and only work of a pass box is to pass material from one side to another without raising contamination concerns and if any particulate matter presents on the material surface, it swipes away during the operation. The interlocking door mechanism is the prime feature of a pass box when the door on one side is open the door on the other side remains closed. It is popular with other names such as cleanroom pass-through, the clean transfer window, and transfer hatch; in addition, it is widely used in microbiology laboratories in the food, pharmaceutical, and chemical industries.

A pass box is designed in two different types; static and dynamic, it is the user-specific requirement that decides the right design configuration. The difference between these two is explained as:

DYNAMIC PASS BOX

Dynamic Pass Box Works like an airlock or Laminar Air Flow unit. Clean air enters the pass box and prevents the entrance of contamination.

STATIC PASS BOX

Pass boxes are used to transfer material for blending, granulation, or sterilization in the manufacturing area and sterilization & incubation in the microbiology laboratory. In some cases, equipment parts are also transferred through the pass boxes in sterile manufacturing areas.

Dispensing Booth / Sampling booth / Weighing booth/ Reverse Laminar Air Flow

Dispensing Booth

Dispensing Booth Working Principle

Downward Forced air of sampling booth extracts at a low level into the booth’s cleanliness filtration system where contaminated particles recirculated into the booth Air Flow. In standard Working conditions of the pharmaceutical dispensing booth air is pulled through the main chamber to steel exhaust grills used to fasten the HEPA & PRE-filters fitted in the rear side of the booths, it suppresses airborne dust particles away from the users breathing area.

Dispensing Booth Parts and Functioning

HEPA Filters

HEPA filters prevent airborne dust particles up to 0.3 microns with airflow from top to downside. HEPA Filters are fitted on the top side of the machine and are also known as mini pleat filters.

Prefilters

Washable Box-type synthetic non-woven media filters are fitted on the bottom side of the machine. Rated Airflow is 500 CFM with an efficiency of 90% down to 10 microns.

UV Lights

Two feet of UV light fitted on the top with the illumination light. Testing Report of UV light is also supplied with the IQ/PQ/DQ Documents.

Differential Pressure Gauge

Magnehelic Gauges are used to measure the pressure drop inside the working area 0 to 500 MM WC with a least count of 1 MM WC. Pratham HVAC Solutions offers AEROSENSE/Delta magnehlic gauge with spec.

Curtains

Low Maintenance & Long life PVC antistatic dustproof curtains are supplied with the machine.

LCD Display Unit

Microprocessor-based controller fitted in the front side of the machine with three to four power points. The controller helps the user in maintaining the light, UV light timer & Blower speed. Blower Capacity 1500 to 2500 RPM in two to three numbers supplied according to the size of the Dispensing booth.

STERILE GARMENT STORAGE CABINETS – GSC

Garment Storage Cabinet (GSC) is designed to provide ISO Class 5 (Class 100) particle-free work area to meet sterile garment storage needs which avoids any particulate accumulation. The work area is continuously supplied with positive pressure HEPA filtered re-circulated vertical/ horizontal airflow.

OPERATION THEATER LAF

Based on the experience, Pratham HVAC Solutions is contributing to the improvement of Hospital areas and reducing the risk of infection by designing and Commissioning the Laminar Airflow systems.

The Laminar airflow with HEPA Filter creates an extremely homogeneous laminar flow with very little turbulence. Any bacteria, viruses, or dust particles are extracted directly before the air enters the area. This means that the operating area is completely isolated within the surrounding room, effectively preventing any contamination by bacteria or virus-laden air. The low degree of turbulence also provides a pleasant working environment for medical personnel.
